Global law firm DLA Piper has once again been named Law Firm of the Year at this year’s Real Estate Capital Europe Awards, recognizing successes in Europe’s property lending market over the previous twelve months.
The recognition reflects a successful year for the firm’s global real estate finance platform, which continues to advise on some of Europe’s most significant financings. In the past year, the firm has supported the EUR1.45 billion financing of Futbol Club Barcelona for the renovation of the Spotify Camp Nou; the GBP 243 million funding by ICG Real Estate for a landmark build-to-rent project in London; a EUR200 million residential refinancing in Spain for CaixaBank; and a EUR145 million office refinancing in Poland for Globalworth.
Toby Barker, partner and Head of UK Real Estate Finance at DLA Piper, comments: “Congratulations to my real estate finance colleagues for this thoroughly deserved recognition of what has been a great year for the practice in delivering expert and commercially oriented advice to our clients, in often complex and time-pressured transactions. We look forward to continuing to leverage our team’s cross-border footprint to further cement our role as a leading firm in the market, advising on high-profile financings across Europe.”
